The memory and where it's located

Even though the brain, like all organs, changes throughout our lifetime, its capacity is hardly affected. Even though our memory span shrinks shortly after puberty, our knowledge grows with age, and we create valuable memory tricks for retaining information. Many of the memory-talented are around 40 years old.

By the way:

Memory is located in a particular region of our brains. The hippocampus is just a conglomeration of nerves. It's located in above your left ear and looks like a small seahorse. It works at full speed when you begin to notice something. Then the memory is processed completely behind your forehead in the frontal lobe. The size of your brain has no affect on its capacity. The same however, is not true for the hippocampus. It was proved, that before navigation systems were introduced, London taxi drivers had oversized hippocampuses, since they had to have the entire road system at hand.

It's also really true:

The repeated use of the memory really leads to an increase in your brain capacity.
