What is Giftedness?

Giftedness is a combination of outstanding skill, creativity, and motivation. Of course the Hochbegabung ist eine Kombination aus überragenden Fähigkeiten, Kreativität und Motivation. Of course a gifted person is really intelligent, but they're also able to find a solution for an unknown problem faster, and have longer staying power for finishing something. Only 2-3 % of children are gifted in this way!
How do you recognize it?
It exists already in the earliest years of age! The child begins to speak before other children and wants to learn to read earlier, on their own account. Maybe, they can paint especially impressively or can solve math problems using methods that they didn't learn in school.
I guess everything's just great for gifted people!
Unfortunately not. Giftedness also often goes hand in hand with social ostracism at school. If not actively assisted, peculiar behavioral traits can appear, the child may stop liking school, and may quickly become oversensitive.
So really smart doesn't mean really mature!
