That's why there’s a skill level for each gimigames game. The better you play, the better your skill level gets. You enter higher rounds to compete against players with as close a skill level to you as possible. If you haven’t played a game for a long time, you lose skill stars, because you lose practice. And the biggest reason skill levels are fair: new gimigames players don’t have to compete against older stonger players. They get the chance to accumulate experience and acheive playing success!
Other Factors
Of course there are differences between different system configurations, and these could possibly have an influence on your victory or defeat in the last playing seconds. In the word games there are additional language differences that could have an effect on the difficulty of a challenge.

Language Differences in Word Games
Generally gimigames players from different parts of the world can play with each other. That’s no problem with logic games like Captain Math or Money Memo, since the challenges are equally difficult for everyone. But with wordgames, there may be variations in the level of difficulty between languages. For example, the poet "Schiller“ is easier for German players to find than for Spanish players. For this reason, the Spanish palyer gets a word of the same level of difficulty and of a similar length as the german player, and is asked, for example, for the Spanish author "Cervantes“. The word chosen is based purely on chance, so that no country is favored.
