Word games are games that require a well-developed vocabulary and general language skills (such as comprehension and spelling) as well as swiftness of thought. They have been used for entertainment as well as educational purposes. Examples of word games include: Hangman, Boggle, Scrabble, crossword puzzles, cryptograms, word searches, Mad Libs, Scattergories, Taboo, charades, Wheel of Fortune, and spelling bees.
